AC/DC are keeping their pre-album teasers going strong, giving fans another taste of the new single "Shot in the Dark" and — finally — a release date for a proper dose of new music.

Today the band announced that "Shot in the Dark" — the first single from their long-awaited comeback album — will arrive on Wednesday (October 7) at 12 a.m. ET. If you can't wait until then, however, AC/DC have unleashed another pair of teasers for the song.

Yes, "Shot in the Dark" is a song so important, it deserves three teaser clips.

Following last week's first teaser for the track, the band have now unloaded a second one that gives us a behind-the-scenes look at the song's upcoming music video. You can check it out below, alongside that first teaser.

And while the song isn't even properly out yet, it also soundtracks a new Dodge commercial, which effectively becomes the third teaser for "Shot in the Dark." Taking inspiration from the 2006 Will Ferrell comedy Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, the ad is called "Family Motto" and runs for 60 seconds. Again, you can check it out down below.

In other related AC/DC news about the new album, the band's longtime engineer Mike Fraser also just confirmed on "The AC/DC Fans.net Podcast" that the effort will feature unused guitar tracks from late member Malcolm Young — confirming previous rumours. Fraser also revealed that he was totally unaware that Brian Johnson, Phil Rudd and Cliff Williams were returning to the band until he actually got to the studio to start work on the record.

So far, we still don't have a proper release date for AC/DC's actual album, but it will apparently be titled PWR UP — or maybe Power Up.

AC/DC's new album will follow 2014's Rock or Bust, though rumours of a new album have been circulating since 2018.
