Published Jun 29, 2016Montreal group Abigail & Bliss released their self-titled debut album last fall, and now they've teamed up with filmmaker Nicholas Marakas for a short film project.
The video takes its directorial inspiration from the works of David Lynch and Stanley Kubrick, as it tells the story of a young cabaret singer. When she arrives to perform at a private gathering, it quickly becomes clear that her surroundings and the people in it are not what they initially appeared to be.
Abigail Galwey plays the lead role, while her bandmates Rudolph Chevalcha, Nick Hynes, Laurent Saint-Pierre and Donald O'Brien all make appearances, as well. The short film features three tracks from the group, with Abigail & Bliss cuts "Bottled Blood," "Pez Dispenser" and "Why" providing the musical backing to the cinematic short.
The results are dramatic and entertaining to both the eyes and ears, and you can experience it for yourself by watching the exclusive premiere of Abigail & Bliss: The Short Music Film below.
