A museum devoted to ABBA will open in the band's home of Stockholm, Sweden in June 2009. A three-floor development will house the tribute, and is set to feature a room filled with the group's famous wardrobes, which will be donated by the members themselves, as well as musical instruments and other memorabilia. The biggest attraction will likely be the recording room, which will allow fans to make their own recordings of their favourite ABBA songs; the room will be decorated like a replica of the Polar Studios where the group recorded most of their music. A disco room will also be included for fans to dance in. The goal for the organisers is to attract approximately half a million visitors; the museum will cost a reported 200 million Swedish krona to build ($30 million CAD). The members of ABBA gave a statement saying: "It is nice someone feels compelled to take on our musical history."
