A$AP Bari has pleaded guilty to one of two charges of sexual assault, stemming from a July 2017 incident at a London hotel.

As Sky News reports, the A$AP Mob co-founder and fashion designer (born Jabari Shelton) appeared in court this morning, pleading guilty to the single charge. He was reportedly ordered to pay a £4,000 fine ($5,000 USD) and £2,500 ($3,150 USD) compensation to the victim.

Shelton was arrested on two counts of sexual assault in May of last year and had previously denied the charges. He had also filed a defamation lawsuit against his accuser.

Kanye West came to Shelton's defence in September of last year, writing in a now-deleted Instagram post that "when he got in trouble I was scared to say he was my friend." He added that "Jedis never let perception and cancel culture get between them."

Shelton also owns streetwear brand VLONE.
