Sometimes a show is so wild and unexpected, you feel compelled to write about it, even with the knowledge that words can't quite capture the zaniness of what occurred. Leading the Main Stage on the final day of SappyFest, Brendan Allison gathered a ragtag group of young Sackville elite ("This is my band; we're not on tour"), who were collectively bartending and playing in at least two other bands that day, to sing goofy, fuzzy garage punk songs about pizza, electric guitars and other general weirdness and observations.

During "Pepperoni Eyes," a song about pizza being his girlfriend, someone starting handing out boxes of pepperoni pizza to the excited crowd, unbeknownst to Allison. For those who thought someone losing both of their shoes during PUP's headlining set of the first night was the weirdest thing they'd see this weekend, we can only hope they didn't miss the spectacle of festivalgoers dancing with pizza slices and the difficulty of singing a chorus about pizza with a mouth full of the stuff.
