50 Cent to Face Trial After Allegedly Leaking Sex Tape in Rick Ross Feud

BY Josiah HughesPublished Mar 16, 2015

Rapper 50 Cent doesn't have a tendency to let things go. When he and Rick Ross started beefing way back in 2009, Fiddy responded with some serious online trolling. Now, he might pay some severe consequences.

In late 2009, 50 got his hands on a sex tape featuring Lastonia Leviston, Rick Ross's ex-girlfriend and the mother of one of his kids. Leviston was in the act with her ex-boyfriend, Maurice Murray.

The ever-vengeful 50 Cent posted the clip on YouTube, blurring out Murray's face but leaving Leviston's in tact. He also had himself edited into the clip as a character named "Pimpin' Curly."

The video was viewed 3.2 million times, and Leviston claims the emotional distress of the whole thing led her to nearly commit suicide. She sued 50 Cent for emotional distress in 2010.

Now, after years of waiting, 50 Cent will stand trial this year. According to the New York Daily News, the reason for the delays was simply a scheduling issue.

Jury selection for the trial will begin on May 26, while the two-week trial itself will take place in June.
