Extra-Dimensional Terrestrials is an excursion to the mysteries of the future, and space, and perhaps other realms beyond. Along the way, producer CVLTVRΣ (using the pseudonym 4D Entity) taps into a variety of electronic genres, making for something of a mixed bag both in terms of style and tone.

The album starts off on an eerie note with screeching noises that weave in and out of the flute-like music. With its resolute beat and organic progression, "旅行 Через 時間 И スペース" is one of the strongest tracks, but elsewhere, though the music is often pleasant or bouncy or intriguing, it lacks a sense of purpose. There's an abundance of nostalgic references, such as the '70s analogue electronic orchestrations in "Embassy" and the Krautrock synth bass in "New Planet." Then there's chiptune and '80s synth-pop, to name just a few of the styles rolled out. To be sure, each track is appreciably well crafted.

The closing track features gently twinkling keyboards, but they are strangely distorted and distant, harkening back to the sense of otherworldly mystery at the album's opening. If this tone had been consistent throughout it might have lent the album thematic cohesion, so that this work could have been admired for something more than its musical craftsmanship.
