Vancouver, BC-based metal outfit 3 Inches of Blood have officially signed a worldwide representation deal with independent powerhouse Century Media Records. The announcement comes on the heels of the band entering the studio to record their fourth, as-yet-unnamed, full-length.

As of mid-April, 3IOB have been working with producer Jack Endino (Supersuckers, High on Fire) at Seattle's London Bridge Studios. The group expect the album to be finished for a fall 2009 release and promise a host of regular reports and video updates on their MySpace page

Says 3IOB vocalist Cam Pipes about the signing, "Ever since our departure from our previous label [Roadrunner], Century Media has been in the forefront trying to get us to sign with them. No other label showed as much enthusiasm and belief in our band as they did. Right from the start we all got a great feeling from the whole Century Media team. We feel comfortable with the vision they have for us and are confident they have the necessary tools and motivation to help us in the ways our previous label didn't. We can't wait to unleash this new material upon the masses."

This album will be the band's first new material since acclaimed affair Fire Up the Blades, which was released by Roadrunner Records in 2007.
