With their latest album, Here Waits Thy Doom, Vancouver, BC neoclassic metal dudes 3 Inches of Blood have had to deal with some major changes in both their line-up and record label. As they recently told Exclaim!, they seem to be adjusting well. The real test, however, is how those changes translate live on their upcoming Canada/U.S. tour.
The band are currently gearing up for a massive North American tour that will bring them all over the continent. The tour kicks off in Seattle on September 7 at the Bumbershoot Festival. From there, they'll headline a week of western dates, including Canadian shows in Vancouver, Victoria, Nanaimo and Calgary.
After that, the band will support In Flames down south until early October. Then they'll head back to Canadian soil for nights in Halifax, Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto, plus tons more.
Oh, and if you're wondering if 3 Inches of Blood will sport their custom Nikes on the road, they won't be, or at least not 24/7. "I'm not necessarily going to wear my band's shoes all the time," the band's Cam Pipes told us. "We're the kind of people who frown upon bands wearing their merchandise. That's kind of tacky but we have gotten a few pairs of regular Nikes out of it."
