As it turns out, the feds indeed have been watching prolific rapper 2 Chainz. Ten months after he was arrested for possession of Promethazine, one of two ingredients in sizzurp, the performer has been charged with felony drug possession.
The TSA found Promethazine in one of 2 Chainz's checked bags when he was leaving LAX on a flight. This took place last June, but the rapper was charged with felony drug possession this week.
Scheduled to be arraigned next week, the charges could be a massive headache for the rapper. If he's found guilty, he could face up to three years in prison.
These charges are nothing new for 2 Chainz, who was charged with felony cocaine possession at the age of 15. He was also arrested for marijuana possession in February of 2013, and charged with a misdemeanour obstruction of justice last fall after police found weapons and drugs on his tour bus.
