Rosalba (Licia Maglietta) is always out of place with her surroundings. She breaks things, accidentally drops her ring in the toilette and misses buses. When her family takes a weekend holiday, she accidentally gets left behind at a rest stop when the tour bus leaves without her, and her family members don’t even notice that she’s not there. Rosalba decides to hitch a ride home, but on a whim, she ends up going all the way to Venice. Now by herself, she is no longer the clumsy person she once was. She gets a job and decides to take an extended holiday to the anger of her husband. She meets Fernando (Bruno Ganz) and they start to fall in love. This is a lighthearted and amusing comedy — a two-hour holiday with some pleasant characters and a few good laughs.
