The Killers Demand Orange Chicken for Life After Finding Their Lyrics in a Panda Express Fortune Cookie

The Killers have released some pretty ubiquitous hits over the years, but over the weekend, the Las Vegas glam popsters discovered their lyrics in a totally unexpected place.

Rather than blasting out of radio speakers, the band found the words to 2004's Hot Fuss hit "Smile Like You Mean It" inside a Panda Express fortune cookie.

Instead of jumping straight to legal action, the band took to Twitter to broker a tasty settlement — proposing that free orange chicken for life from the fast food chain would serve as suitable compensation for passing off the band's lyrics as post-meal wisdom.

Seems like a pretty sweet deal for everyone involved.

For those wishing to relive the lyrics in musical form — you're in luck. Hot Fuss was treated to a couple of vinyl reissues just last year.
