Netflix Is Planning an Interactive 'Minecraft' Series
It's no secret that movies and television are about to get a hell of a lot more interactive. Having previously worked with interactive viewing experiences, Netflix is now looking to please everyone's little brother with an interactive series based on Minecraft.

Netflix confirmed to TechRadar that the streaming service is planning to release a five-episode original series called Minecraft: Story Mode.

The series will arrive in collaboration with Telltale Games, who are also working on a new Stranger Things interactive story/game.

Following initial reports hinting at the collaboration, Netflix reached out to confirm its plans. Here's the full statement they released to TechRadar:

1. We can confirm Minecraft: Story Mode is a licensed 5-episode interactive narrative series coming to our service this fall. It's an extension of our other interactive stories we have on our service like Stretch Armstrong: The Breakout, Puss in Book: Trapped in an Epic Tale and Buddy Thunderstruck: The Maybe Pile.

2. The
Stranger Things project is being published by Telltale at a later date, not on the Netflix service. It's part of our marketing and title promotion efforts.

3. We don't have any plans to get into gaming. There's a broad spectrum of entertainment available today. Games have become increasingly cinematic, but we view this as interactive narrative storytelling on our service."

Well, just like the show, Things just keep getting Stranger around here.
