Hana Kimura, a popular wrestler and central star on the most recent season of the Japanese reality show Terrace House: Tokyo has died. She was 22 years old.
The news was confirmed on Friday (May 22) by Stardom Wrestling, who wrote, "We are very sorry to report that our Hana Kimura has passed away. Please be respectful and allow some time for things to process, and keep your thoughts and prayers with her family and friends."
Though her cause of death has not been publicly announced, Kimura made a number of troubling social media posts indicating that she had been a victim of cyberbullying. The graphic posts were quickly removed from online.
Kimura had been reportedly receiving hundreds of cruel tweets from cyberbullies on a daily basis. Her last post online was a photo of her cat with the caption, "Goodbye."
Kimura was still living at Terrace House when the show was put on hiatus due to COVID-19.
