What's Streaming on Netflix Canada in April

Spring is here, meaning you could be frolicking in a meadow with the love of your life, or feeling accomplished as you finally declutter your life through some spring cleaning. Or, you know, you could just kick back on the sofa with a mountain of snacks and continue to waste away as you stream movie after TV show after movie.

For those who'd prefer that last option, we've got another guide to what's streaming on Netflix in the month of April.

The Ranch comes out on April 1, which makes a lot of sense because it sort of seems like an April Fool's joke. The show stars Ashton Kutcher and Danny Masterson, updating their That '70s Show chemistry for a new, bizarre sitcom that takes place in the midwest. The trailer suggests that this one will feature plenty of broad, family-friendly jokes and, weirdly, some cursing too. Strangest of all, it co-stars Sam Elliott.

That's not the only Netflix comedy series hitting the service this month. The second season of Tina Fey's beloved Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt (pictured above) will land on April 15, while the third series of the UK series Cuckoo arrives on the same day.

Other exclusives landing on the service include the new series Ajin (April 12), Patton Oswalt's new special Talking for Clapping (April 22), the Ricky Gervais movie Special Correspondents (April 29) and the true-crime documentary Team Foxcatcher (April 29).

For the kids, there's also an animated Kong: King of the Apes movie and TV series arriving on April 15, and a new, animated Danger Mouse series coming on April 29.

As for the non-exclusive content hitting the service in April, you can dig into Charlie St. Cloud (April 1), Codegirl (April 1), Paper Towns (April 1), The Princess Bride (April 1), Hush (April 8), Blended (April 12), Jaws (April 13), Sleeping with Other People (April 22) and Captain America: Winter Soldier (April 24). You can also check out season 5 of Downton Abbey (April 8) and season 4 of Episodes (April 11).

With all of these additions, there are also some films being taken away from us. You've only got until April 1 to watch Meet the ParentsThe Other Woman, Island of Lemurs: MadagascarRio 2 and The Sitter. You have until April 8 to watch Adventureland, April 11 to watch Gravity, and April 23 to watch Jodorowsky's Dune. If, for some reason, you also want to watch The Zero Theorem, you can check that out until April 27.
