We May as Well Just Hand All of the Oscars to 'Waves' After This First Trailer
Trey Edward Shults broke through with the underrated survival thriller It Comes at Night in 2017, but there should be no shortage of hype for his next feature. After all, Waves looks like it's ready to take no prisoners this Oscar season.

The film stars Sterling K. Brown as a suburban father who is trying to keep his family going after they suffer a tragedy. In addition to the stunning performances, the trailer promises mouthwatering cinematography and heart-rending, maximalist music (courtesy of Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross).

Watch the trailer for Waves below. The film will arrive this fall.
