Flying Lotus's long-awaited feature film Kuso is set to make its debut at the Sundance Film Festival on Saturday (January 21), and before it arrives, the producer and newly minted Sled Island 2017 guest curator has shared the film's first trailer.
All sorts of incredibly strange visuals are packed into the minute-long clip, which you can find in the player below. Deadline reports that Kuso takes the viewer "deep and vividly into the aftermath of a devastating earthquake that hits L.A.," though that's apparently only the start of the "fever dream movie."
As previously reported, the film stars Hannibal Buress and Tim Heidecker, in addition to Anders Holm, Iesha Coston, Zack Fox, George Clinton and the Buttress.
The trailer reveals that music will come from Flying Lotus, Aphex Twin, Akira Yamaoka, Busdriver, the Buttress, Angel Deradoorian, Dennis Hamm, Brandon Coleman and Dante Winslow, in addition to Brainfeeder friends and collaborators Kamasi Washington, Miguel Atwood Ferguson, Thundercat and Niki Randa.
