Despite airing in front of an empty audience during his tumultuous battle with pancreatic cancer, Jeopardy! host Alex Trebek has been faring well and keeping things light on set. This past week in particular, the game show host had a little bit of fun with one of the clues ā the one that had him reciting Lizzo lyrics live on-air.
Like all great Jeopardy! clues, Trebek read out the lyrics to "Truth Hurts" in utter deadpan, reciting the lines, "New man on the Minnesota Vikings / Truth hurts, needed something more exciting / Bom bom bi dom bi dum bum bay" in his best monotone as a clue for the question "Who is Lizzo?"
The clue, which appeared in the show's "Lyrics of Today" category, was answered correctly by contestant Evan Singer for $1,000.
