Watch a New Spike Jonze Short Starring Stephen Colbert

Since releasing Her, beloved director Spike Jonze has kept plenty busy. He's in charge of the new TV network Viceland, and he also found time to shoot Kanye West's "Only One" video on an iPhone. As if that weren't enough, he just directed a surprise new short for The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

As the show's official YouTube page explains, "Director Spike Jonze had a vision for how to open The Late Show, so Stephen said, why not?"

The result is a two-and-a-half minute short that sees Colbert sadly wander the streets of New York. Soon, he meets up with a familiar furry friend, who encourages him to go host his late-night talk show.

It's no I'm Here, but it's still a very fun Spike Jonze short. Check it out below.
