Veep

Season 5 trailer

As the trailer for the fifth season of Veep will remind you over and over again, this show has won a shit-ton of Emmy Awards — and for good reason. Arguably Julia Louis-Dreyfus' career best performance, its packed with sharp political satire and incredibly crass humour.

That said, season 5 will arrive with some big changes. Most notably, creator and showrunner Armando Ianucci has left the show to spend more time with his family in England. Having shaped its tone from the very start, here's hoping it won't be too jarring without him there.

Fortunately, the trailer suggests that we're in for more of the foul-mouthed insanity that has defined the last four seasons of Veep.

Watch the trailer for season 5 below, and look for it to premiere on April 24 through HBO.
