Just three months after wrapping up a fourth and final season, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt has announced it's coming back to Netflix. But not just for any old episode — this one will be going full Black Mirror and doing a choose-your-own-adventure special.

Like Charlie Brooker's Bandersnatch before it, the Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt special will mark Netflix's latest experiment with interactive TV viewing, allowing users to help control the events playing out onscreen.

"We're thrilled to announce that we're about to start production on an all-new interactive Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt special, set to debut on Netflix in 2020," creator Tina Fey said today during a Netflix "For Your Consideration" Emmy panel [via The Hollywood Reporter]. "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt was one of the first original comedy series on Netflix, and now it will be its first interactive comedy event. Fans will be able to make choices on behalf of our characters, taking different story paths with, of course, different jokes. I think it's a great fit for our show and will be a great way to officially complete the series."

News of the interactive special comes after Fey and co-creator Robert Carlock hinted at a Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt movie, and now it seems this is what they were referring to.

Let's just hope this one doesn't land Netflix in any legal hot water.
