Last night (May 21), the world finally got to witness the return of David Lynch and Mark Frost's insanely anticipated Twin Peaks. Now we're finally getting word on when we'll get to have the soundtrack from the third season off the show, and in fact, we'll get not one but two albums of new Twin Peaks music.

On September 8, Rhino will release Twin Peaks (Music from the Limited Event Series) and Twin Peaks (Limited Event Series Original Soundtrack).

While the full tracklistings have yet to be revealed, the former will feature an array of various artists. So far we know this will include contributions from Twin Peaks head soundtracker Angelo Badalamenti, as well as Chromatics.

You can pre-order this soundtrack here on iTunes or here on CD and a double-LP on Amazon. You can see its cover art above.

Details on the second soundtrack, which we're guessing will be more score-orientated and composed by Badalamenti, have yet to be revealed.

For now, you can get a taste of what to expect from Twin Peaks (Music from the Limited Event Series) with a new video for Chromatics' "Shadow." The Johnny Jewel-led group actually popped up on the season premiere last night to play the song at the show's fictional Roadhouse bar.

Earlier this month, Johnny Jewel also recently released his Windswept album, which contained music from Twin Peaks Season 3.
