Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross have lined up their next soundtrack. The Nine Inch Nails duo will compose music for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, the forthcoming animated feature written and produced by Seth Rogen.

News of Reznor and Ross's involvement with Mutant Mayhem, which also stars Rogen, was shared earlier this month by Tony Hawk in an episode of his Hawk vs Wolf podcast.

The mention soon found its way back to director Jeff Rowe, who confirmed the news on Twitter in sharing, "The score is absolutely AMAZING. Exhilarating, terrifying, heartbreaking, full of sounds I didn't know existed. I don't have the vocabulary to describe it. I love it so much."

Rowe added that Reznor and Ross's original score will not be heard until Mutant Mayhem arrives in theatres on August 4, sharing, "Nothing they've done has been released yet. It's not them in the teaser trailer, and won't be them in this week's trailer. You'll just have to wait until August 2 to have your mind shattered and rebuilt with beauty and then shattered again."

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem also features the voice talents of Hannibal Buress, Rose Byrne, John Cena, Ice Cube, Jackie Chan, Giancarlo Esposito, Ayo Edebiri, Post Malone, Paul Rudd and Maya Rudolph. You can watch a trailer for the film below.

Apart from Mutant Meyhem, Reznor and Ross's year will also see them score forthcoming Luca Guadagnino sports rom-com Challengers, and David Fincher's neo-noir thriller The Killer. Reznor and Ross's 2022 saw them lend music to Guadagnino's Bones and All and Sam Mendes's Empire of Light.

As Nine Inch Nails, the two most recently released Ghosts VI: Locusts and Ghosts V: Together in 2020, though Reznor did tease new material from the group the following year.
