TIME has unveiled its annual list of the 100 Most Influential People, and this year's honourees include a number of notable names from across arts, politics and activism.

Amongst those named as "Pioneers" were Tiffany Haddish (thanks to memorable gigs at SNL and the Oscars, not to mention giving us the "somebody bit Beyoncé" story), Kumail Nanjiani (another SNL host this season), Cardi B (probably because she's got the respect of everyone from Jimmy Fallon to Nardwuar to Bernie Sanders), Issa Rae (creator of Insecure) and Trevor Noah (host of The Daily Show).

As for "Artists," TV stars like Nicole Kidman, Sterling K. Brown, Millie Bobby Brown, Lena Waithe, Roseanne Barr and Jimmy Kimmel made the list. Filmmakers like Ryan Coogler, Greta Gerwig, Guillermo Del Toro and John Krasinski also received honours, as did film stars like Hugh Jackman, Gal Gadot, Chadwick Boseman and Deepika Padukone.

Musically speaking, Canadian boy wonder Shawn Mendes cracked the TIME 100, while Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna and Kesha were all crowned with titles in the "Icons" category.
