The decade is coming to a close, and one of humanity's favourite ways to mark the passage of time continues to be listmaking. As such, the Toronto International Film Festival Cinematheque has pieced together a list of the best films of the last decade.
Dubbed "The Best of the Decade: An Alternative View," the list was compiled by a panel of experts from Canada and abroad. That group includes film curators, archivists and historians.
The list includes everything from well-trod territory like Jordan Peele's Get Out to films you may not have seen yet, like Lucrecia Martel's 2017 work Zama, which took the No. 1 spot.
