Since the world is always a better place when Alan Partridge is on the telly, it's good news indeed that This Time with Alan Partridge is finally coming back.
Today the BBC confirmed Steve Coogan's beloved character will be back on April 30 for This Time with Alan Partridge Season 2 on April 30. So yes, it's coming up fast.
News of the second season was first revealed back in February, and Coogan shed some light on what to expect from Season 2 a few months back.
"We're trying to set ourselves a task of having the stuff on-screen [with the chat show] and then have a kind of parallel unseen story that we get glimpses of, this parallel narrative of what's going on in [Alan's] private life and Jennie, his co-presenter's, private life," Coogan told Digital Spy in September.
"And then, sort of, have those two things go parallel. We haven't quite realized where it goes but we want it to end up in a strange and unexpected place. That's all I can say."
And considering how great the first round of This Time with Alan Partridge episodes were, consider us stoked for Season 2.
