When it came to Canadian musical artists in online conversation, Drake reigned supreme through his year of ups and downs, followed closely by pop stars Shawn Mendes and Justin Bieber.
The Weeknd, Sebastian Olzanski, Avril Lavigne, Grimes, Daniel Caesar, Tory Lanez and Celine Dion rounded out the list. The list marks the first time both Grimes and Lanez have appeared in the Top 10.
When it comes to the silver screen, Ryan Reynolds was the most mentioned Canadian male actor, followed closely by actor/painting hobbyist Jim Carrey. Seth Rogen, who topped the list in 2017, found himself at No. 3, with the Top 5 rounded out by Stephen Amell and Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard.
Meanwhile, Shay Mitchell topped the list of most mentioned Canadian female actors for the third straight year, followed by Nina Dobrev, Sandra Oh, Stana Katic and Evangeline Lilly.
