The World's Last Blockbuster Is Now an Airbnb

Let's be real — if Blockbuster was still a thing we probably all would've caught COVID-19 by now, so there's nothing wrong with some streaming and VOD. Still, it's hard not to be wistful for the good old days. And if we're ever able to travel again, we'd love to check out the last-ever Blockbuster, which is now an Airbnb.

Sandi Harding, who manages the final location of the store in Bend, OR, has announced that the store has converted into a temporary sleepover space.

Unfortunately, as of press time, the promotion is only for three nights, running from September 18 to 20. But those who clinch the spots will get to watch movies all night on the pull-out couch, complete with a classic '90s basement den. The sleepover also includes free pizza, Pepsi, candy and popcorn.

Reservations for the Blockbuster sleepover will go live on Monday (August 17), and they'll only cost $4 USD a night. Here's the bummer, however — you have to be a resident of Deschutes County to qualify.
