While we all patiently await the arrival of Netflix's second season of The Witcher, Spokko mobile has stepped in to make your mystical monster-hunting dreams come true with a new Pokémon GO-style mobile AR game called The Witcher: Monster Slayer.

While the RPG game itself is set ages before the time of Geralt of Rivia (sorry — no Henry Cavill roleplaying), Monster Slayer is set in the same world, in which you play your own witcher on the hunt. In the game, you get to fight life-sized monsters through your phone, train your character, brew potions, craft bombs and collect equipment in preparation for battle.

Here's the official description:

The Witcher: Monster Slayer is an augmented-reality exploration game that challenges you to become an elite monster hunter. See the world around you transformed into the dark fantasy realm of The Witcher, and explore once-familiar locations now infested with dangerous beasts as you start on the path as a professional monster slayer.

The game has yet to receive an official release date, but the new trailer teasing its arrival promises it is "coming soon."

Meanwhile, the TV version of The Witcher has finally headed back into production in England. Season 2 is forthcoming and will see Cavill returning as Geralt of Rivia alongside Anya Chalotra reprising her role as Yennefer, Freya Allan returning as Ciri and Joey Batey as Jaskier the Bard, among others. Kim Bodina will also be taking on the role of Vesemir, the mentor of Geralt of Rivia.
