This damn pandemic has meant a lot of cancellations in show business, along with some pretty awkward television. Most live shows have been without audiences for over a year, but that changed last night (March 22) when Jimmy Fallon brought back an audience to The Tonight Show.
The latest episode of the show saw Jimmy and the Roots return to Studio 6B at 30 Rockefeller Center, where they hadn't set up shop since the coronavirus had shut down in-studio audiences in March 2020. Fallon and co. had instead been using Studio 6A, which had been used by the TODAY show pre-pandemic.
Fallon's return to hosting in front of audience also meant he was back in formal attire after spending the last year dressed down on camera. The show's audience will be composed of first responders and health care workers for the entirety of the week.
In his monologue, Fallon joked that a family of raccoons had taken up residence in his desk since the shutdown.
