Despite decent reviews from some critics and Nick Hornby himself, the show will now be relegated to the proverbial discount bin of history.
A reason for the cancellation has not been revealed, but Deadline reported that it was not an easy decision and required much deliberation. The possibility of continuing the show at a different network is equally unlikely.
In addition to Zoë Kravitz, the show starred Da'Vine Joy Randolph, David H. Holmes, Jake Lacy and Kingsley Ben-Adir and centred on a record store in Crown Heights.
Quickly after news broke of cancellation, Kravitz penned a farewell post on her Instagram, writing: "I wanna give a shout out to my #highfidelity family. Thank you for all the love and heart you put into this show. I'm in awe of all of you. And thank you to everyone who watched, loved and supported us. #BreakUpsSuck."
