Schitt's Creek had huge night at the Emmys this weekend, as the Canadian comedy show cleaned up with a historic seven awards. As if that weren't already enough, Schitt's Creek was subsequently celebrated by one of our country's greatest landmarks, as the CN Tower turned gold to mark the occasion.

Last night (September 21), the Toronto structure was temporary lit up gold. The CN Tower's official Twitter account confirmed that this was in honour of Schitt's Creek.

Some of the Schitt's Creek team were on hand to soak in the spectacle, as co-creator Dan Levy tweeted a photo and wrote that it was an "honour." See footage of him at the CN Tower below.

Schitt's Creek recently wrapped up its sixth and final season. Read Exclaim!'s interviews with Annie Murphy (who plays Alexis Rose) and actor-musician Noah Reid (who plays Patrick Brewer).
