'The Batman' Halts Production After Robert Pattinson Reportedly Tests Positive for COVID-19

The Batman now has a trailer, but the film has had to halt production leading up to its October 1, 2021, release. The reason? A crew member tested positive for the coronavirus.

UPDATE (9/3, 3: p.m. ET): According to Vanity Fair and multiple other publications, star Robert Pattinson was the crew member who tested COVID-19. However, Warner has yet to confirm the reports.

A Warner Bros. representative confirmed the news, saying, "A member of The Batman production has tested positive for COVID-19 and is isolating in accordance with established protocols.... Filming is temporarily paused."
