The Batman now has a trailer, but the film has had to halt production leading up to its October 1, 2021, release. The reason? A crew member tested positive for the coronavirus.
UPDATE (9/3, 3: p.m. ET): According to Vanity Fair and multiple other publications, star Robert Pattinson was the crew member who tested COVID-19. However, Warner has yet to confirm the reports.
A Warner Bros. representative confirmed the news, saying, "A member of The Batman production has tested positive for COVID-19 and is isolating in accordance with established protocols.... Filming is temporarily paused."
Directed by Matt Reeves, The Batman stars Robert Pattinson, Jeffrey Wright, Zoe Kravitz, Paul Dano, Colin Farrell, John Turturro, Andy Serkis, Jayme Lawson and Peter Sarsgaard, among others.
