Published Jun 06, 2016In news that can only be described as "inevitable," iconic superhero Superman is set to visit his cousin in the hit television series Supergirl.
The show, which is moving from CBS to the CW for its second season, stars Melissa Benoist as Kara — a young woman who moonlights as Supergirl. In a two episode arc to kick off the second season, she'll be visited by her cousin Clark Kent (who, in case you haven't figured it out yet, is also Superman).
The new TV Superman is currently being cast.
In a statement [via The Hollywood Reporter], executive producer Andrew Kreisberg said, "Greg [Berlanti], Ali [Adler] and I are beyond thrilled to welcome Clark Kent and his slightly-more-famous alter ego to the world of Supergirl. Superman will be appearing in the first two episodes of the new season and we cannot wait to see who next dons the red cape!"
Supergirl returns to television this fall.
