Floria Sigismondi's latest film The Turning — an adaptation of Henry James's The Turn of the Screw — has another soundtrack release. Today, that comes in the form of an original track called "Feel" from Soccer Mommy.
"I've always wanted to do a song for a horror movie so I loved getting to write 'Feed,'" Soccer Mommy told Rolling Stone. "It's a song about letting a demon feed off your body. It was really fun to get to write something a little more imaginative than my other songs."
Announced last month, the indie-studded soundtrack is being produced by Lawrence Rothman and Yves Rothman. It features new music from Mitski, Empress Of, Vagabon, Warpaint, Cherry Glazerr, Kali Uchis, Alice Glass, Kim Gordon, the Aubreys and more.
Courtney Love's contribution to the soundtrack, "Mother," was also recently released.
The Turning is set to star Finn Wolfhard, Mackenzie Davis, Brooklynn Prince and Joely Richardson. It's hitting theatres January 24, the same day that The Turning (Original Music Picture Soundtrack) will arrive via Sony Masterworks.
