'Stranger Things' Is Getting Its Own Netflix Aftershow

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Oct 26, 2017

Stranger Things returns for its highly anticipated second season at midnight tonight (October 27), but now fans have some extra viewing content to look forward to.

As The Hollywood Reporter revealed, an official aftershow dubbed Beyond Stranger Things will be making its debut at the same time the new episodes arrive. It marks the streaming service's first foray into the "show after a show" format.

Beyond Stranger Things will be hosted by writer/producer/actor and Stranger Things "super fan" Jim Rash, who promises to dig into the inspiration behind the storylines, give us behind-the-scenes exclusives and delve into in-depth super nerd analysis.

If you're worried about having Season 2 spoiled by accidentally streaming the aftershow, don't worry — Netflix will only make Beyond Stranger Things available to subscribers once they've completed viewing all seven of the new episodes. The aftershow will automatically start streaming after the final episode has been watched.

A number of special guests have already been confirmed for the new show, including creators Ross and Matt Duffer, executive producer/director Shawn Levy, and beloved cast members like Millie Bobby Brown, Sean Astin, Linnea Berthelsen, Natalia Dyer, Brett Gelman, David Harbour, Randy Havens, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Dacre Montgomery, Paul Reiser, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink and Finn Wolfhard.
