It's been 34 years since the wacky comedy Police Academy hit theatres and launched a massive franchise. That said, there hasn't been a new Police Academy movie since 1994. According to Steve Guttenberg, however, that's about to change.
Responding to a fan on Twitter, Guttenberg said that the next film in the series was coming. "No details yet," he added, but suggested it was still in the works.
The first Police Academy grossed $146 million worldwide. In addition to six sequels, the film also launched a toy line and television series.
