'South Park' Renewed for Three More Seasons

Unlike the other long-running cartoon comedies that refuse to die, Matt Stone and Trey Parker's South Park has managed to improve in quality as it ages. Here's hoping the streak continues, as the show has just been renewed for an additional three seasons.

The show, which recently wrapped its 18th season and is expected to pick up with its 19th this September, will now air until 2019. By then, we won't be surprised if it's renewed yet again.

"South Park remains the bedrock of Comedy Central and we are thrilled that new episodes will continue to entertain audiences for years to come," Comedy Central president Michele Ganeless said in a statement. "The series remains as urgent and relevant now as the day it premiered and at nearly 20 seasons in, it continues to draw generations of new fans."

That's not all South Park fans have in the pipeline. Following their excellent RPG game The Stick of Truth, a sequel called The Fractured But Whole (get it?) will hit all major gaming systems soon. Watch a trailer for the game below.
