South Park: Cult of Cartman - Revelations

The purveyor of sin, the master of manipulation Eric Theodore Cartman has finally put forth a collection of life lesions for everyone to use. Essentially a best of series, Cult of Cartman is fashioned in a pious manner appearing as a bible with 12 important messages (episodes) that capture this demonic child’s warped and insane view on the world. Possibly his most heinous work, and one of his earlier pieces, comes in the form of "Scott Tenorman Must Die,” from season five, where Cartman purchases pubes from Tenorman and in turn crafts a plan that involves a penis biting pony, Radiohead, a chili con carne cook-off and some extra-lean ground Mr. and Mrs. Tenorman. Likely the most self-centred person in the world, "Cartoon Wars Part I & II” finds Cartman pretending that the viewing of Muhammad, the Muslims’ messenger and profit of God, on TV’s Family Guy is inappropriate when in reality Cartman just really loathes the show and seeks to put an end to it. When Cartman contracts AIDS during a bad blood transfusion while having his tonsils removed in "Tonsil Trouble,” Kyle finds the situation ironic, leaving Cartman little choice besides infecting his Jewish friend. Once Cartman is sure Kyle is HIV positive, the two search for a cure only to find themselves in the company of Magic Johnson. This compilation of episodes is a ton of laughs, revisiting some older episodes and more current ones. This collection doesn’t offer any extras, which is kind of a let down, as the usual Trey Parker and Matt Stone mini-commentaries could have been humorous. Eric Cartman’s best moments can be found on this collection and it’s definitely for any fan of him specifically. If you think his idea of fun isn’t or his idea of right seems very wrong you should start holding your breath now for the Butters DVD set.
