The horny and brooding teens of the CW's (surprisingly addictive) Riverdale are a far cry from the G-rated characters in the original Archie comics. To prove this point further, someone has mashed up dialogue from the show with panels from the original comic.
The reviewers at Comics Alliance have added this humorous project to their episode recaps, and it's certainly jarring to see these iconic comic book characters discuss their dating exploits, as well as make reference to necrophilia and slut-shaming, in their original forms.
As the A.V. Club points out, the mash-ups were first noticed by Riverdale writer Britta Lundin. She's tweeted all of the images so far (though admittedly we're disappointed that no one has made a "booty tutor" image).
Check out all of the mash-ups below.
