Shawn Mendes Offers Plenty of Documentary Style One-Liners in the Trailer for the Shawn Mendes Documentary

"I'm just a guy, and I love music"

Omnipresent Canadian pop star Shawn Mendes is set to be the subject of a new Netflix documentary called In Wonder. We've learned its release date, and now we get a taste of the film with its new trailer.

Directed by Grant Singer, the film's trailer promises all of the things we've come to expect from big pop star productions, including complaints about the tour schedule, nerves before getting onstage and a seemingly endless supply of shirtless Shawn Mendes shots.

In the trailer, Mendes's one-liners are generic to the point of being profound. "I'm just a guy, and I love music," he says at one point. "If I tell the world that I'm just a normal human, are they going to stop coming to the shows?" he adds. "Maybe I should pretend that I'm Superman for a little bit longer."

The film will land on Netflix on November 23.
