Taking to Twitter, Vancouver journalist Stephanie Ip pointed out that a number of readers asked why Visa hadn't hired a Canadian voice actor for its TransLink promotion. As a result, she suggested Seth Rogen:
Lots of emails today were along the lines of: "What, there wasn't a Canadian actor who could've done the job?" After some thought, I do have a suggestion: @Sethrogen. I would happily listen to him announce my transit stops all day, every day BUT ONLY IF IT COMES WITH THE LAUGH. https://t.co/o0v5FWlocj— Stephanie Ip (@stephanie_ip) May 23, 2018
It was a funny enough sentiment, but it appears that Rogen might be down for the gig. He replied, saying that he'd happily step in as Freeman's replacement:
Yo if they need a replacement now let me know.— Seth Rogen (@Sethrogen) May 24, 2018
Maybe Rogen can step up to the plate and rerecord all of Freeman's voice work. That's a version of March of the Penguins we'd love to see.
