After coming together for 2014's Neighbors and 2016's Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising, Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne will star in forthcoming new comedy series Platonic.

While Platonic has yet to receive a release date, a release from Apple notes the series will explore " the inner workings of platonic friendship" between a pair of adult friends. Due to land on Apple TV+, the series has already lined up 10 episodes, clocking in at 30 minutes each.

Rogen and Byrne will play "a pair of former best friends who met in their youth," who reconnect as adults and "try to mend the rift that led to their falling out." However, "as their friendship becomes more consuming, it destabilizes their lives and causes them to reevaluate their choices."

Platonic will also mark Rogen and Byrne's reunion with Neighbors director Nicholas Stoller, who will also serve as a co-writer on the show with Francesca Delbanco (Friends from College). The new series will feature Byrne, Rogen and Conor Welch as executive producers.

Last year, director Stoller was linked to a Billy Eichner-led rom-com produced by Judd Apatow. Rogen starred in An American Pickle in August, while Byrne wrapped a role in mini-series Mrs. America earlier this year.
