Later this week, reality television star and Home Alone 2 cameo-man Donald Trump will be sworn in as the next president of the United States. For a lot of people, this surreal news is hard to accept — and the absurdity of it all goes far beyond the American border. Take, for example, Scotland's Sunday Herald newspaper, who have chalked this whole thing up as an episode of The Twilight Zone.
Utilizing some wonderfully dry humour, the paper's TV listings revealed that the inauguration is simply a "huge interactive virtual reality project" in which we are faced with an alternative timeline. The whole show, they suggest, offers "a disturbing glimpse of the horrors we could stumble into, if we're not careful."
