In addition to being an absolutely terrible president, Donald Trump is also a pretty shitty pick-up artist. The douchey misogynist has discussed his terrible ways with women in the past, and it turns out that beloved actress Salma Hayek was among those who had to endure his weak game.
Appearing on the Daily Show [via the National Post] to promote her new film Beatriz at Dinner, Hayek recalled the time that Donald Trump asked her out while she was dating her now-husband François-Henri Pinault.
It all started when all three people met up at the same event. "I turn around and my boyfriend — so charming, so nice — he said hello [to Trump]," she said. "[Trump] said, 'I'm sorry, your girlfriend, I saw she was cold.' And then he kept talking to my boyfriend."
Trump invited them both to stay at his hotel in Atlantic City. He got both Hayek and Pinault's phone numbers, but only called Hayek to invite her out.
"He's inviting me out, and I'm like, 'What about my boyfriend? Am I crazy? Are you asking me out? You know I have a boyfriend,'" she recalled. Then Trump, being the buffoon that he is, responded with, "'He's not good enough for you. He's not important, he's not big enough for you. You have to go out with me.'"
After rejecting Trump, Hayek believes that the dorky billionaire responded by leaking news about her to the tabloids, suggesting that she was "too short" for him.
"Later, he called and left me a message. 'Can you believe this? Who would say this? I don't want people to think this about you,'" she recalled. "He thought that I would try to go out with him so people wouldn't think that's why he wouldn't go out with me."
