Following the truly devastating mass murder in Nova Scotia, Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds has once again opened up his very charitable heart.

The Deadpool star has stepped up to donate $5,000 to a GoFundMe in support of 33-year-old victim Kristen Beaton's husband, Nick, and the couple's young son, Daxton.

Beaton — a healthcare worker — was one of the 22 people killed in the mass shooting this month. Since the GoFundMe launched on April 20 with a goal of $20,000, it has raised more than $108,000 for her family.

The campaign was launched by Nick Beaton, who has been trying to carry out his departed wife's wish that her fellow healthcare colleagues get the equipment they need to help protect themselves from COVID-19.

As the Canadian Press reports, Reynolds and hockey star Hayley Wickenheiser also called up Nick Beaton, in addition to making the contribution to the fund.

You can learn more about the GoFundMe page here, where you can also still contribute to the cause.
