Published Oct 27, 2015Earlier this year, giant raspy-voiced toddler Adam Sandler found himself in a big to-do when native actors walked off set of his new film The Ridiculous Six due to its racist jokes and cultural insensitivity. The comedian behind such cultural touchstones as "The Goat" later called it a "pro-Indian" movie, though it seemed like PR spin at best. Either way, if you're at all curious about this monstrosity, the film's first trailer arrived today.
Just how racist is the trailer for The Ridiculous Six? Thanks to some savvy editing, there are virtually no shots of American Indians whatsoever. Instead, we're looking at another bafflingly lifeless Adam Sandler movie, where recognizable comedic actors deliver dialogue void of humour, with quiet pauses where jokes might have once been. And as it unfolds, a cold air haunts the soul.
The Ridiculous Six hits Netflix on December 11.
