Ask anyone and they'll tell you that 2016 was a godawful piece of shit of a year. But it was also a particularly solid one for films — particularly if you go by movie trailers and not the disappointing movies they represent. (Suicide Squad anyone?) Fortunately, filmmaker Morgan Ermter has pieced together a breathtaking look at the year in film.
Simply called "Film Trailer 2016," the eight and a half-minute clip utilizes brief snippets of over 300 movie trailers.
The result is both overwhelming and breathtaking, serving as a highlight reel of the year in film. Even the movies that stunk on story still looked pretty damn great.
