Being no stranger to extended cuts, Quentin Tarantino is planning to release an even longer version of his latest film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. According to star Brad Pitt, the film may soon appear as an extended mini-series, complete with cut footage.
While rumours of the extended miniseries have been circling for a while, Pitt confirmed Tarantino's prospective plan while talking to Kyle Buchanan of the New York Times. When asked if Tarantino had plans to make Once Upon a Time in Hollywood into an extended series like the director did with The Hateful Eight on Netflix, Pitt replied, "Yeah, he's talked about it. It's a pretty arousing idea."

As IndieWire previously reported, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood at one point ran four hours and 20 minutes. The theatrical cut, meanwhile, ran about just over two hours and 40 minutes. Several scenes were even used in Sony's promotional materials for the project that never made it into the final film.
