Published Nov 07, 2017Following a series of severe allegations against actor Kevin Spacey, production on the political Netflix series House of Cards has been put on hold. While it's unclear what will happen with the show, some wise internet petitioners have a great idea — replace Spacey with Paul Blart actor Kevin James.
People are petitioning Netflix CEO Reed Hastings to swap Kevins on the show and give James a turn to play an elite DC backstabber.
Here's the official write-up from the petition's Change.org site:
Losing a great show is hard, no matter the circumstances. However with hardship comes the opportunity for a great show to become one of the greatest television shows of all time. I think Kevin James can elevate "House of Cards" to a globally adored franchise like "Game of Thrones" and make the entire world focus on one of the most important Netflix Original series there is.
As of press time, the petition has nabbed more than 28,000 signatures. Perhaps House of Cards is the dramatic role that Kevin James was born to play.
